Once you have installed the Android Application follow the instructions below.

Select web portal (4)

Step 5

Type in www.cdu.edu.au (5) and click Log in (6)

Step 6

Type in your CDU Username and Password (7)

Step 7

Once you have your CDU Username and Password (8) click Continue (9)

Step 8

You will be taken back to Lynda.com

Once Lynda.com has been installed from iTunes.

Step 1

Click the menu option (1) in the top left corner.

Click Login (2)

Step 3

Select "Organisation or School" (3) then (4)

Step 4

Type in "www.cdu.edu.au" (5) and click "Go" (6)

Step 5

Enter you CDU username and Password (7) and then "Continue" (8)

Step 6

If this is the first time you have used federated login click "Confirm" (9)

Step 7

Click "Accept" (10)

Extension Task: The table on pg. 67 asks you to identify quotes which convey a hostile and isolated environment. Write 2 TEAL paragraphs, each focused on analysing the evidence to support this. “Analyse how the island has been depicted as a hostile and isolated place in Chapter 7 of the novel.”

Week #3

Task 1:  Students who are new to class, finish deciding on the five holiday events you would like to write about and make a few notes (in English) on each one.  For example, something you did, who you were with, when you did it, and an opinion of the activity (eg, fun, boring, delicious, etc).

Task 2:  Other students are to complete the rough draft of your holiday diary, ready to translate all sentences into complete and accurate Japanese.

Task 3:  Attempt the attached problem in preparation for the OzCLO competition… “Japanese Braille Problem”.
